🎉🌊 Dive into a Sea of Celebration! 🌊🎉
In 2025, Universidad de Manila (UDM) marked a historic milestone—its 30th Founding Anniversary, proudly themed:
“30 Years of Shaping Visionary Leaders: Empowering Minds, Uplifting Society.”
This Pearl Anniversary was more than a celebration—it was a tribute to the university’s legacy of excellence, impact, and commitment to accessible, quality education. A full week of festivities, awards, art, and community events brought together students, alumni, faculty, and staff for a grand celebration like no other.
🌟 Night of Celebration and Achievement
The week culminated in a heartfelt and momentous Employees Night, Convocation, and Culminating Activity. One of the biggest highlights of the evening was the proud announcement of 100% Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)—a monumental achievement signifying UDM’s full compliance with CHED’s standards across all program offerings.
Also honored during the event were our loyal and dedicated employees, whose decades of service have built the foundation of the university's success. Their contributions were recognized with Loyalty Awards, shining a spotlight on their passion and commitment.
🎭 Legacy in Motion: The Jubilee Parade "Lakbayaw"
UDM’s surrounding streets burst into color and rhythm during the Jubilee Parade: “Lakbayaw”—a dynamic and festive procession of arko, kubol, music, and cultural pride. This vibrant showcase symbolized UDM’s journey through the decades and the collective strength of its community. Colleges, departments, and students gave their all, reminding everyone of the university’s deep roots and bright future.
🏅 Celebrating Our Alumni: The 30 Distinguished Alumni Awardees
A major highlight was the UDM Distinguished Alumni Awards. Thirty exceptional alumni were recognized for their achievements in various fields, their service to the nation, and their steadfast embodiment of UDM’s core values. These awardees serve as beacons of inspiration and living proof of UDM’s lasting impact.
🎨 Student Talent Shines: On-The-Spot Painting Contest
UDM students showcased their artistic prowess in the On-the-Spot Painting Contest, held at the University Library. Organized by the Office of the Vice President for Student Success and Support Services, the contest brought out breathtaking creativity and vision. The event, spearheaded by Atty. Rodolfo V. Castillo Jr. and Dr. Rosalie M. Catu, transformed the library into a vibrant art studio buzzing with talent and passion.
🏃 Community Spirit in Action: UDM Fun Run 2025
April 6th brought energy and unity to the Roxas Boulevard with the UDM Fun Run 2025. Students, faculty, alumni, and supporters gathered in the spirit of health, fitness, and camaraderie—kicking off the anniversary month with laughter, motion, and a strong sense of community pride.
🎤 A Faculty Showcase Like No Other: “ALSA” Faculty Frolics
On April 22, the spotlight turned to the educators of UDM with “ALSA: UDM Faculty Frolics” at the San Andres Sports Complex. Professors and mentors amazed the crowd with their hidden talents—from singing and dancing to comedic performances, it was a delightful evening of joy and shared celebration between students and faculty.
💎 A Legacy Worth Celebrating
From its humble beginnings to becoming a pillar of accessible and quality education in Manila, UDM’s 30-year journey has been shaped by passion, resilience, and vision. 𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠: 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐃𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭!
A 3-day Training Workshop was conducted on February 6-8, 2024. The University Library Personnel under Flordeliza M. Rubio, the University Librarian, and the ICTO Personnel under Emmanuel Gatdula gained knowledge from the guest speaker, Mr. Raymon S. Bodino, who persistently discussed the topics with them.
This would be impossible without the support of Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria, our University President, Dr. Amalfi B. Tabin, our Jr. Executive Dean / Student Success & Support Services and the assistance of the Library Student Organization under Rubirosa V. Sicat.
The all-inclusive library management system Destiny Library Manager combines modules for inventory, searching, cataloging, circulation, and reporting to guarantee smooth communication between the home, school, and library.
